Deep Lunar Blue is an American rock/americana/jamband from Springfield, Illinois.  In addition to original songs, Deep Lunar Blue plays a wide range of cover songs from artists including:  Neal Young, Grateful Dead, Pink Floyd, The Beatles, Bob Dylan, Van Morisson, Johnny Cash, The Rolling Stones, Chicago, Jane's Addiction, Talking Heads, Widespread Panic, J.J.Cale, Phish, Ween, Radiohead, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Ween, Iron and Wine, Jack Johnson, The Decemberists, & Foster the People.

Established in January 2009 by Randal Hall, J.J. Moffat, Ryan Pulver and Shane Quigley, Deep Lunar Blue quickly developed a unique sound that touched on many varied styles and genres including rock, bluegrass, alt-country, psychedelic, traditional and jamband music while playing throughout Springfield and surrounding Central Illinois towns and festivals.  Over the course of our first two years dlb played over 70 shows and released an album in February 2010 titled "Watch it Burn" (Deep Lunar Blue Records).  Randal and Ryan left the band in early 2011 to pursue country music and Randal's solo career.  They were replaced by Casey Cantrall and Jay Bohn respectively in the summer 0f 2011. 

We've shared the stage with many great bands from the Springfield area, throughout Illinois, and beyond including: Backyard Tire Fire, Brainchild, Afternoon Moon, Art of Ill Fusion, The Hue, The Station, Dan Hubbard & the Humadors, South of 80, The Reel Channel Cats, Sarah Schneider Band, Stonewood, Cabin Fever, Hush, Easy Riders, Insignificant String Band, Telegraph 3am, and Perfunctory This Band.  We've shared festival stages with many other great bands and artists as well.
